Laya is basically a Kuchipudi dancer. She made her debut in a movie called "Swayam Varam" directed by Vijaya Bhaskar K in 1999. She has won the prestigious Nandi Award for Best Actress two times for Manoharam and Preminchu. Now she married to Dr. Sri Ganesh settled in USA
