Don’t Direct ‘3 Idiots’ - Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani Tell Aamir Khan
Apparently concerned that Aamir will indulge in his favorite tendency to ghost direct the films he features in, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani have asked the ace actor to keep his hands off their next venture ‘3Idiots’.
Rajkumar Hirani’s lighthearted comedy starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan and Boman Irani is now on the floors, the film is said to be loosely based on Chetan Bhagat’s super-hit novel Five Point Someone.
With this film Vidhu and Hirani are taking no chances and according to the grapevine want to make it the way they have conceived it to be. Mr Perfectionist-Aamir, who is much known for his interference in the filmmaking process for all the projects that are closed to his heart or close to the ones he loves, has been instructed by the filmmakers to stay out of the direction process and just focus on his character.
What’s interesting is that the instructions were not just given verbally but have been sealed and signed in a 25 page contract that the filmmakers had sent to the actor.
Though the actor was much impressed by the thoroughly detailed contract, we are sure that the special clause, that states that Aamir at no level whatsoever will be involved in the filmmaking process, has not gone to well with the actor.
However, much to Hirani and Chopra’s relief, Aamir signed the contract without asking for any changes.
Well, looks like other filmmakers need to take special lessons from the director-producer duo for making ace contracts for this ace actor.

I am really disappointed with the RAJKUMAR HIRANI in which way he chose the casting.I don’t think that the characters of RYAN or ALOK or HARI will be suited on R. MADHWAN OR AMIR KHAN.I always think that vidhu sir give the more importance to the characters,not to the starcast,but this time he failed to choose the right casting.
